Engagement Firm Runs “Most Engaged Workplace” Competition

ilovereward50topimageYou know you’ve arrived when they start giving out awards!

The Toronto-based firm I Love Rewards is soliciting nominations for its Most Engaged Workplaces awards.  The deadline is July 15 with congratulatory events in the U.S. and Canada in October.

Entering their second year, the “50 Most Engaged Workplaces™” Awards are designed to inspire enhancements to the workplace by highlighting and championing  employee-centric organizations worldwide. This year, the company says that it’s 50 Most Engaged Workplaces™ Awards program will double in size and award 50 U.S.-based and 50 Canadian-based companies.

From their June 21, 2011 press release:

“Companies that receive this award are leading their respective industries and constantly raising the bar; much like their employees”, says Razor Suleman, CEO and Founder, I Love Rewards. “The 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award recognizes an engaged workforce that is enthusiastic, driven, and determined, which ultimately results in mutual success for the employees and the company.”

Companies are evaluated based on how well they leverage the 8 Elements of Engagement: leadership, communication, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, accountability and performance, vision and values and social responsibility.

Members of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance may find those criteria familiar in that the EEA has focused on many of them when discussing how companies can drive overall enterprise engagement.

The judging panel is comprised of experts in the engagement and employee performance world including Dr. Bob Nelson, who has sold over 3.5 million books on management and motivation, including 1001 Ways to Reward Employees (now in its 55th printing),  Stacia Sherman, SR Analyst, Bersin & Associates, Debbie McGrath, Founder & Chief Instigator, HR.com, Razor Suleman, Founder & CEO, I Love Rewards and Paul Hebert, our own EEA Social Media Editor and lead consultant at I2I.

Kudos to this company for advancing the cause of engagement in such a concrete way. Their effort provides yet more evidence that this trend continues to advance.

If you think you’re a leader check out the site and apply to be considered one of a very small set of forward thinking enterprises
