New Discover Card Ad Promotes Relationships…

Have you seen this ad about the Discover Card customer surprised to find a human being at the other end of the phone?

This obviously stylized encounter may or may not be a true reflection of the relationship you’ll have with Discover Card, and we’re not even sure that this human touch will alone catapult Discover Card past its competitors. But this ad is emblematic of the growing attempts by businesses to humanize relationships. The challenge is that Discover Card can’t just do it in its advertising; they have to deliver it all the way through, from their corporate policies related to people to how they empower employees to deliver that promise.
